At Thrive Market, we’ve had a long love affair with honey—particularly the raw variety because it hasn’t been pasteurized. That means it maintains its beneficial bee pollen (which appears to have antifungal, antimicrobial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties) and propolis, a sticky resin that contains powerful antioxidants. In addition to being our go-to sweetener, we love using raw honey in DIY beauty treatments and homeopathic remedies, too. Here are some of our favorite recipes.
Note: This is Paleo-friendly!

Recipe from: Danielle Walker’s “Celebrations” cookbook
1 cup granulated or raw sugar
1 teaspoon Thrive Market Raw Honey
¼ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons fresh citrus zest
Combine all ingredients in an airtight container and stir until fully incorporated. Seal and store at room temperature for up to 2 to 3 weeks.
1 cup citrus juice, freshly squeezed (suggested combination: ½ cup grapefruit juice, ¼ cup orange juice, ¼ cup lemon juice)
2 tablespoons Thrive Market Raw Honey
7 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
1 teaspoon Vitamin C powder (optional)
In a small saucepan set over medium low heat, whisk together juice and honey until dissolved. Pour in gelatin powder slowly, a little at a time, whisking continuously until gelatin is dissolved and the mixture becomes syrup-like in texture. Remove from heat and whisk in the vitamin powders or contents from an opened vitamin capsule, if using.
Pour the mixture into silicon molds or a lightly oiled 8×8-inch baking dish and freeze for 10 minutes. Pop the gummies out of the molds or slice into small bites if using a dish. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks. Be sure to watch the video!
Guess what? We have even more raw honey recipes! Here are a few from our archives.
