If you’ve been waiting for the day when it would be totally okay to eat ice cream for breakfast, this recipe is for you.
Whip up this frozen dish for a healthy version of instant soft serve. The flavor options are endless, but this instant ice cream recipe sticks to one of the classics: the always-delicious, surprisingly healthy cinnamon.
Cinnamon has powerful antibacterial properties, which are great for both your stomach and the health of your teeth and mouth. Cinnamon can help fight viruses and well as improve blood oxygen levels, which helps fight illness.
In the colder months, cinnamon is a wonderful warming addition to almost any snack. Sticks of cinnamon make an excellent stirrer in a cup of tea; the spice adds a spicy sweetness to the drink. Freshly grated cinnamon is delicious on top of warm quinoa pudding. Pears poached in cinnamon and ginger also make a great sweet treat — but nothing tops this super healthy ice cream, of course.
This ice cream is a great dessert, snack, or even a delicious and unexpected breakfast option. It takes a few moments to make and is a total crowd-pleaser. All you need is frozen sliced bananas, lots of cinnamon, a splash of milk for a tasty and healthy treat — done and done!
Serves 1
1 sliced banana (frozen)
1/4 cup almond milk
2 tablespoons cinnamon
Place the frozen sliced banana into a blender. Add the cinnamon and milk and blend well for 5 minutes or until you have a smooth ice cream. Eat it immediately or freeze it for later. Enjoy!
