Summer Mocktail Recipes with Aura Bora Herb-Infused Sparkling Waters

Last Update: September 28, 2023

What makes a perfect summer beverage?

It should be served ice cold to combat the heat of high summer, have a light, refreshing flavor, and maybe even offer a burst of sparkling bubbles to really quench your thirst.

Aura Bora’s “heavenly sparkling waters” have perfected all three components. Naturally flavored with herbs, fruits, and flowers, drinking an Aura Bora is like a foraged summer bounty in a can — a can that’s entirely free of artificial flavors, of course. It’s the perfect beverage for getting outside, enjoying the sunshine, and admiring the fragrant beauty of the summer season.

5 Reasons Aura Bora Sparkling Waters Make the Perfect Summer Drink

To get their great flavors without the additives, Aura Bora uses natural ingredients sourced from plants. Here’s how their sparkling waters differ from the others:

  1. They’re made with purified water. The water in Aura Bora sparkling waters is filtered by reverse osmosis to remove PFOS, fluoride, and contaminants.
  1. They’re flavored with real herbs and fruits. Instead of artificial flavors and sweeteners, they’re made with fresh herbs and fruits for deeper, richer, aromatic flavors.
  1. They don’t contain citric acid. While citric acid isn’t necessarily bad for you, it gives some people headaches, upset stomachs, or a bitter aftertaste. Unlike other sparkling water brands, Aura Bora doesn’t use citric acid in their beverages.
  1. They fit into many lifestyles. Aura Bora beverages are Whole30 approved, vegan, and sugar-free, so they’ll help you stick to your routine.
  1. They prioritize the planet. As part of the 1% for the Planet initiative, Aura Bora donates 1% of its gross sales to environmental causes.

Aura Bora offers the best of both worlds — the complex ingredients of a fine cocktail, without the sugar, alcohol, or brain fuzz. If you’re skipping out on the booze this summer, here are two summer mocktail recipes made with Aura Bora’s favorite Elderflower Grapefruit and Ginger Meyer Lemon flavors. They’re the perfect additions to your picnic, barbecue, or post-work porch hang.

Summer Mocktail Recipes with Aura Bora

The Aura Bora Grapefruit Fizz

Aura Bora spent months sourcing the juiciest, most flavorful grapefruit to pair with the sweet and aromatic undertones of elderflower to create their Elderflower Grapefruit sparkling water. It’s the star of this sweet and tangy mocktail recipe, which also features an unexpected spoonful of strawberry jam for a seriously summery treat. Turn it into a cocktail with a shot of gin or vodka, if you’re so inclined.

Yield: One mocktail

Ingredients:

Ice
3-4 ounces Aura Bora Elderflower Grapefruit sparkling water (coming soon!)
1 heaping tablespoon strawberry jam (or orange marmalade)
1.5 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
Grapefruit slices (to garnish)
Fresh rosemary sprig (to garnish)

Instructions:

In a cocktail tin, add ice, Aura Bora Elderflower Grapefruit sparkling water, jam, and grapefruit juice.

Shake away and strain into your favorite glass.

To serve, garnish with a rosemary sprig and a sliver of grapefruit.

The Aura Bora Sweet Zing

Aura Bora’s Ginger Meyer Lemon flavor is a fresh blend of Meyer lemon and spicy ginger that’s delightfully balanced, naturally sweet, and perfectly zesty.

Yield: One mocktail

Ingredients:

1-inch piece of ginger root
1-2 sprigs of rosemary (or another aromatic herb)
1-2 ounces fresh Meyer lemon juice
3-4 ounces Aura Bora Ginger Meyer Lemon (coming soon!)
Honey (to taste)

Instructions:

Peel and dice the ginger. Place ginger and rosemary in the bottom of a shaker and muddle using a cocktail muddler or a wooden spoon.

Add lemon juice and Aura Bora Ginger Meyer Lemon to the shaker.

Add ice and shake vigorously until combined.

Taste and sweeten with honey as desired, then shake once more.

Serve in a martini glass (with a sugar rim if you’re feeling fancy).
